Prof. Praveen Krishna I. R.

Dr. Praveen Krishna I. R. is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech from IIT Madras and a B.Tech from the University of Kerala, and brings nearly a decade of industrial experience from global companies such as GE and Honeywell. His research interests include acoustics, vibration, fluid–structure interaction, nonlinear dynamics, condition monitoring, and noise–vibration–harshness (NVH) in engineering systems. Dr. Krishna has led and contributed to major funded research projects, including vibration energy harvesting and dynamic modelling of high-speed gearboxes for DRDO. His work integrates theoretical analysis with experimental validation to advance the understanding of dynamic behaviour in aerospace and mechanical systems.
