Prof. K. P. Sudheer

Prof. (Dr.) K. P. Sudheer is a distinguished academician and researcher at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) with over 25 years of expertise in agricultural engineering and food process engineering. He currently serves as the Head of the RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubator, and leads the Centre of Excellence in Post-Harvest Technology at Kerala Agricultural University. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, and a postdoctoral fellowship at KU Leuven, Belgium. Dr. Sudheer’s research focuses on non-thermal technologies and food safety, contributing to over 330 publications and seven textbooks in the post-harvest sector. He has been recognized globally with numerous prestigious awards, including the ICAR National Fellowship and international fellowships such as the Norman E. Borlaug Fellowship in the USA and the ERASMUS MUNDUS Fellowship in Sweden. A dedicated mentor, he has also received the Best Teacher Award in Agricultural Higher Education from ICAR and was recently honored as a top startup ecosystem enabler. His work extends to significant extension service, earning him accolades like the Krishi Vigyan Award from the Government of Kerala for best agricultural scientist.
