Prof. P. R. Biju

Dr. P. R. Biju is Professor and Director at the School of Pure and Applied Physics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University and an M.Sc. from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has over a decade of teaching and research experience. His research areas include phosphors, glassy materials, phosphor-in-glass (PiG) systems, laser spectroscopy, and nonlinear optics.Dr. Biju has published around 170 research papers with an h-index of 27 and more than 2,200 citations. His work has contributed significantly to the synthesis and characterization of advanced phosphor, glassy, and quantum dot materials for photonic and display applications. Dr. Biju is an active member of professional bodies such as the Indian Laser Association and the Association of Physics Teachers and also serves as Director of the College Development Council at Mahatma Gandhi University.
